Sambagrl:
I can’t upgrade….it says that I need a a software license key that is pasted ont my clipboard and that I just take that number and paste it into my order form…???? what clipboard?
I was asking about sound recorder, not money vista, is itin the same place? why does it keep asking me to upgrade to the 1.00.0 version first? I keep downloading it, it says that it was installed succesfully, then it asks me to do it again when I try to upgrade.

Generalinfo:
I see…well, apparently, you downloaded Sound Recorder very first, beta version…No problem you will be done in one minute:
UPGRADE TO VERSION 1.0.0.0 from BETA
To be on the safe side, first uninstall and delete all copies of Sound Recorders from your computer, then download Sound Recorder AGAIN (last time, I promise!) from here:
http://zpssoft.com/Community/sound-recorder-about/sound-recorder-download/
Once you download NEW installer, double-click to run and select REMOVE SOUND RECORDER option. Once you remove Sound Recorder, run same installation file again, to install NEW version. If remove option is not available, just continue with installation.
To upgrade, run new Sound Recorder and click on the Key Icon that look like this:
p.s.
Sound Recorder Full Version has 2 types of licenses!
If you have permanent internet connection, you may be interested in installing the ICL version of Sound Recorder…basically, that’s the same software but it’s capable of updating itself automatically each time that a new version comes out, for free. The only setback is that in order to work like the full version, the ICL key needs to have internet connection when it starts. If you don’t have permanent internet connection, maybe you want to get SCL license. That one don’t need internet to run in full version, but it does not have free upgrades eather…

It still wants a serial number that I don’t have

You have your Sound Recorder serial number as soon as you click on the key icon!
Sure you do. Like I told you before about My Money serial number, ( here ) just right-click on the top text box of the order form (under where it says “Paste your Serial Number Here”) and select paste from your right-click menu and your number will appear in that box.

Question:
I went through the installation process and received the message that the installation was completed. However, when I go to open the program I get the following message, “comptl32.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid”. How can I correct this. I am running a Gateway notebook with Windows Vista Premium. Is there a solution?

Dear Bob
You reported an Sound Recorder installation error from Windows Media Center PC. We performed new download and installation from official download page ( http://zpssoft.com/Community/sound-recorder-about/sound-recorder-download/ ) on clean Windows Media Center PC, in attempt to replicate error that you reported. Our Windows Media Center PC did not produce any error. In addition, Sound Recorder’s technical report does not include component “comptl32.ocx “. In fact, Sound Recorder installation includes only 3 standard windows controls: COMCTL32.OCX, MSCOMSTL.OCX and comdlg32.ocx. Finally, we could not locate control that you are referring to (comptl32.ocx ) on any of our machines used in Sound Recorder development.
Can you please uninstall your Sound Recorder and perform fresh installation from Sound Recorder’s download page above? If error appears again, please make sure that you copy your error message exactly and reply to us at: generalinfo@zpssoft.com or use our Support Center or reply here
